Simona Dobocan, DNP, PMHNP, FNP is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in medical and psychiatric care. She has worked in diverse clinical settings, including emergency departments, hospital-based care, outpatient clinics, and home health.
Dr. Dobocan specializes in the evaluation and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, eating disorders, and complex psychiatric presentations, including Spravato (esketamine) treatment. Her combined medical and psychiatric background allows her to provide comprehensive, whole-person care.
She practices using evidence-based, trauma-informed principles and values collaborative, patient-centered relationships. Dr. Dobocan is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment and developing individualized treatment plans aligned with each patient’s goals. She is dedicated to helping patients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of clinical work, Dr. Dobocan enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, and exploring diverse cuisines. She finds grounding and balance through time spent in nature—climbing mountains, listening to the ocean, or sitting quietly by a lake. Her favorite form of mindfulness is early summer mornings by the lake around 6 a.m., when everything feels calm and present.
